CapCut · question

Why is CapCut still charging me after I cancelled?

You are not alone. Billing after cancellation is the single most common CapCut complaint on Trustpilot.

The short answer

Because, per CapCut's own Trustpilot reviews, cancellation does not reliably stop billing: users report repeated charges "every couple of hours without any notification", being charged after cancelling a free trial, and finding it "impossible to cancel a Pro subscription", with no human support to fix it. CapCut sits at 1.2 out of 5, 88% one star, read October 28, 2026. RealTake sends a reminder email before any renewal, lets you cancel any time, and never charges a failed render.

What CapCut users say about billing

  • "They keep trying to charge your card every couple of hours without any notification" (Trustpilot, September 2, 2026)
  • "Seems to be impossible to cancel a Pro subscription." (Trustpilot, October 1, 2026)
  • "Being charged after cancelling a free trial" (Trustpilot)
  • "stopped all human support, charge for everything, and the tools do not work" (Trustpilot, September 13, 2026)
  • "The customer support team is absolutely worthless" (Trustpilot)

On October 28, 2026 CapCut's Trustpilot score was 1.2 out of 5 from 1,367 reviews, 88% of them one star, with billing the most common theme (Trustpilot).

What to check if you are still being charged

  • Where you subscribed. A Pro plan bought through the App Store or Google Play is cancelled there, not inside CapCut; a web subscription is cancelled on capcut.com.
  • Whether a free trial converted. Users report trial charges after cancelling; check the date the trial ended against the charge.
  • Your card statement for repeated attempts, and ask your bank to block the merchant if charges continue after a confirmed cancellation.
  • Keep the cancellation confirmation; users report no human support to dispute with.

None of that is unusual for an app that makes its money at the export step and on renewals. It is simply where the upside sits for them.

How RealTake bills instead

You see the cost of a video before it renders. Changes in the Studio before render cost nothing. A failed render is never charged. Annual plans renew with a reminder email first, so you can cancel before any charge. Cancel any time: you keep what you paid for through the end of the period, and every finished video stays downloadable. Upgrades are charged only the difference. Every feature is on every plan, so there is no tier to be pushed into. And support is answered by the founder, not a bot.
