Why b-roll costs extra in Captions
Captions' b-roll page describes AI-generated b-roll, and its credit system meters it along with music, sound effects and images (captions.ai/pricing). Users describe the effect: "this will nickel and dime you as you create" (App Store) and "even with the paid plan I went thru my credits in 2 short video's" (Trustpilot, Oct 24 2026). Whether it uses your own footage automatically is not stated on the pages read.
How RealTake's b-roll works
Three sources, chosen automatically for the line being spoken: licensed stock, AI-generated images and clips, and your own uploads. Your footage is indexed by what is in it, so when you mention something you have filmed, that clip is pulled in. Mention push-ups and your push-up demo appears. Three density levels; medium is about six clips, roughly one every eight seconds. B-roll is placed so it never covers your face. All of it is included in every video on every plan, and you can swap any clip in the Studio before it renders.
"…which is why I make everyone start with push-ups—"
Everything else that comes with it
Cuts with every cut labeled, captions animated word by word, a title in the first second, 200+ motion graphics, sound, camera moves and a style built from what is working on social this week. Then post or schedule to LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube from RealTake.
RealTake is priced by how often you post, with every feature in every video on every plan. You see the cost of a video before it is made, changes in the Studio before render cost nothing, a failed render is never charged, and a reminder email arrives before any renewal.
See your own video finished, with nothing held back for credits.
Free plan: 5 watermarked videos a month. No credit card.
