How do I put yourself in a different location in a video?

Record in your kitchen. Deliver the line on a stage. Keep it you.

The short answer

Select the stretch of your video, describe where you want to be, and let a video-to-video model rebuild that moment from your own frames. Done the usual way, that is a clip exported to a generator, prompted, rerolled, downloaded and re-synced; Higgsfield users describe exactly that chain and the credits it eats. In RealTake it is one click in the Studio: the moment is reimagined in place, starting and ending on the real you, with your words still in sync and the captions already on.

The long way, in Higgsfield users' words

  • "Why am I switching between 5 AI tools to make one video?" (Substack review)
  • "Both times, it processed none of the changes and made the exact same video." (Trustpilot, page 2)
  • "I could not create a 7-second video with the starter pack without upgrading my package." (Trustpilot, page 8)

The chain: clip the segment out, export, upload to the generator, write the prompt, pick a model, reroll until it looks like you, wait, download, re-import, re-sync, re-caption, re-export.

How Reimagine works in RealTake

  1. Select the part of your video to change, in the Studio.
  2. Describe it: relight the room, put yourself on a stage, make it look like film, move the scene outdoors.
  3. Approve the cost, shown before anything runs.
  4. The moment is rebuilt by the latest video-to-video models using your own frames as the start and end, so it is still you, still synced to what you said, captions on.
  5. Press Continue to render, then post or schedule it.

Why in-place matters

Everything around the reimagined moment is untouched: the cut before it, the caption running across it, the sound, the title. Nothing is exported and nothing is re-imported, so nothing drifts out of sync. If the result is not right, change the description and review again before render, at no extra charge.

In RealTake, generation is a line inside the plan, not a separate currency. AI-Generated Assets are included on every plan: around 12 a month free, around 100, 250 or 560 on the paid plans, alongside the whole edit. Generation is off by default and runs only after you approve it, with the cost shown first. Review the edit before it renders and change anything at no extra charge. Failed renders are never charged.

FAQs

Can I change the background of a video I already recorded?
Yes. In RealTake, select the moment, describe the new setting, approve the cost, and it is reimagined in place from your own frames, still synced and captioned.
Will it still look like me?
The first and last frame of the reimagined stretch are your real frames, so the generated moment starts and ends as you. Generation runs only after you approve it.
Can I relight a talking-head video with AI?
Yes, the same way: select the stretch, describe the light you want, approve, and review before render.
