What is actually for sale
- "Vibe Editing: Automating Video Production with Claude + Remotion", a PDF at $3, down from $14.99. (Payhip)
- A free MIT repo for editing YouTube videos with Claude Code, used as the funnel into a paid course; setup "~45 minutes", tested on Windows only. (Learn With Hasan)
- A free "editor skill file + caption preset" gated behind an email, with a paid community and consulting behind it. (Jordan Hongtai)
- "5 insane Claude Code + video prompts", free, pitched as what "businesses pay $200-500 for on Fiverr". (Sabrina Ramonov)
- A Claude Code skill that edits YouTube Shorts, built to avoid a "$300+/month video editor". (Skool)
- Plugins on credits: ChatCut $25 to $200 a month (ChatCut), Krater from $20 a month with a 15-second test that "ran about 300 credits" (Krater), Blotato's $29 a month publishing MCP, which its owner discloses he sells (Blotato).
Why the price is low and the cost is not
A prompt pack is a recipe. The ingredients are still on you: the install, the keys, the GPU or the cloud bill, the caption drift, the render that tears when two run at once, and the human pass that the people selling the recipe say every first render needs. The honest version of the pitch is on their own pages: "90% of a paid rough cut" with "creative pacing, b-roll selection, or taste" left out (Jordan Hongtai). You are buying homework.
What RealTake sells instead
RealTake runs the same job as a product. Upload a raw video of yourself talking; the Director plans the whole edit, cuts the rambles with a reason on every cut, puts word-level captions on the frame, places b-roll and 200+ motion graphics clear of your face, adds sound, and renders in the cloud in minutes. Change anything in the Studio before it renders at no cost, then post or schedule it to LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Every feature is on every plan, you see the cost before anything renders, and a failed render is never charged.
Upload one raw video and see the finished edit.
Free plan: 5 watermarked videos a month. No credit card.
