Why separate tracks matter
Separate tracks are the whole reason people record on Riverside, and the reason its users resent the caps on getting them out: "the pricing can feel high for what's offered" (Capterra), and the Pro plan's real limit is 15 separate-track download hours a month (riverside.com pricing). Once you have them, Riverside's own editor is where users stall: "a little clunky" (Capterra), clips "not directly useful" (Capterra).
What RealTake does with them
- Sync by audio. Each person's camera and mic file is aligned automatically. Cameras that start late or stop early are handled; the clip simply shows that camera as off.
- One transcript, every word credited. When one mic picks up the other person's voice, that leaked voice is removed, so a line is never credited to the wrong speaker or counted twice.
- A camera that follows the conversation. Auto layout cuts to whoever is talking, ignores turns under two seconds, and shows both people when they talk over each other. Or choose Active speaker, Split screen or Fit.
- Clean audio per person. A volume slider and mute for each person, and one-click Normalize to the social standard.
Then the clips
RealTake Clips reads the whole episode and proposes moments that stand on their own: the setup and the payoff together, starting on a strong line, never ending on the other person's next question. Each moment comes with a title and a one-line reason it works. There is no virality score, on purpose.
Then you decide. Watch any moment in one click, trim it by dragging the edges, make your own clip from the timeline or by tapping the first and last line of the transcript on your phone, or type "find more about pricing" to get more moments from the transcript you already have. Every clip you choose gets the full RealTake edit, animated captions, b-roll, titles, motion graphics and sound, and posts or schedules to LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube from RealTake.
Finding moments is covered by your plan's source minutes: 60 on the free plan, then 600, 1,500 and 4,000 a month. Credits are spent only on the clips you choose to make, and you see the cost before anything renders.
Drop in your last episode and see the moments.
Free plan: 5 watermarked videos a month. No credit card.
